Creative Print
This is an assignment from my second semester at RCC. The assignment was to research different printing techniques and make a creative print. It was one of the few assignments that allowed us to do pretty much anything we wanted which made it one of the funnest and most difficult ones to do. The more research I did the more techniques I discovered making it hard to decide what to do.
I finally decided to try combining two negatives to create one unique print. This technique has been used for years to create images that otherwise would have been impossible prior to digital capture and editing software. After combining the two negative (the one on the right was flipped to flow better with the one on the left) into one print I used Farmers Reducer to lighten the area around the sea foam, then I bleached and sepia toned the print. The result is the image below.
